TLS in transit; encryption at rest for databases/object storage where provider capabilities exist; enforced HTTPS on production ingress.

3. Access control

Least-privilege IAM, MFA on operator accounts, segregation of staging/production secrets with rotation drills.

4. Monitoring & response

Logging, anomaly alerts, patching SLAs calibrated to severity, tabletop exercises coordinated with infra partners.

5. Data minimisation during incidents

Forensic snapshots narrowly scoped where breach investigation requires.
